Protection of water environment
printFor protection of water basins against contamination with waste waters provision is made for the following technical concepts:
- Closing of water cycle of final coke oven gas cooling;
- Zero-discharge water supply systems (purification and recycling of sludge waters of coal preparation plants and aspiration systems, utilization of the clarified phenolic waters within the interior of the enterprise);
- Plants for neutralization and decontamination of acid and other toxic wastes;
- Units for regeneration of salt-containing drains following the chemical water treatment;
- Ozonization plants;
- Utilization of excess sludge, tar and oils (dewatering or thermal decontamination);
- Biochemical treatment plant of phenol–containing waste waters;
- Utilization of sludge, acid pitch and exhausted solutions of sulpher purification by means of adding into coal blend;
- Final cooling of coke oven gas in closed systems.
At the up-to-date biochemical treatment plants the efficiency of purification from phenol is upto 99.9%; from other substances - upto 80%-99.5%.
When utilizing the clarified phenol-containing waters for quenching of coke the emissions of hazardous substances from quenching towers into atmosphere do not exceed the emissions being formed during coke quenching with service water.
GIPROKOKS elaborates documentation for:
- Outdoor pipe networks and facilities of water supply and sewerage;
- Facilities of production recycles of process water supply;
- Facilities of collection and purification of industrial effluent waters, rain waters and sludge waters;
- Waste treatment plants of phenol effluents (BOD plant);
- Projects of sludge, domestic and drainage sewerage;
- Conceptual flow charts and balances of water supply and water disposal;
- Interplant service pipelines on columns, in tunnels, in channels and underground.
GIPROKOKS supervises the design engineering of subcontractors of the site-off water intake facilities, accumulating units and settlers as well as domestic water treatment plants.
